Executive summary

Only 47% of American workers trust AI, compared to 75–77% in China and India. Even among organisations actively deploying AI, scepticism from frontline workers consistently undermines adoption. The technology is rarely the bottleneck — trust is. Building trust is not a communications challenge but a design challenge: systems that are transparent about their reasoning, show confidence intervals, and give people control are adopted faster and more broadly.
